M-1 Global president Vadim Finkelstein caught up with MixFight.ru recently to discuss his company and also mentions Fedor Emelianenkos brother Alex has cut ties with the company.

MixFight.ru – In your opinion, what was the most exciting fight this year? What is the most spectacular event?

Vadim Filkenstein – It is difficult to single out any one interesting fight. This year, it took many spectacular fights.I can not mention the fight against Sergei Kornev Marcin Zonteka . In this fight, I was struck by his courage and strength of will. Each of the last tournament with something memorable. Tournament with Fedor remembered his grandeur. The battle in the mountains was held in a very beautiful place and attracted to the tournament about 20 000 spectators.

MF – After the defeat of Alexander Emelianenko requested a rematch with Jeff Monson . Whether it be for this fight?

VF – Alexander constantly violated the terms of contact, we canceled. Now he is a free fighter, he has his own way. Neither I nor any Fedor M-1 is not responsible for his actions.

MF – Now there are a lot of promoters who organize tournaments in MMA at different levels. Most of the fights end very quickly. In your opinion, what is the reason?

VF – Indeed, there are very many fights end in the first round and in a few seconds. In some cases, this suggests that the opponents are chosen is not equivalent. Sometimes against a fighter with a record of 20 fights out inexperienced athlete with two professional fights. In M-1, we select equivalent fighters worthy contenders as we develop our sport, not individual people.

MF – What do you plan to please fans of MMA in the next year? What is planned? Tournaments what level?

VF – Next year we plan to spend at least 8 tournaments. Of those that are planned to say that two of them will be held in St. Petersburg, next March 28 at the Ice Palace, two in Moscow, one in Ingushetia, now consider the behavior of the tournament in Orenburg and other Russian cities
